The name 'Araminta' means defender, and was Harriet Tubman's given name as a child slave in Maryland. She discovered what true freedom was and led so many others to it as well. Just like during the Underground Railroad era, we are called as a community of abolitionists to point towards true freedom and come alongside survivors of child trafficking as they find hope and restoration outside of modern-day slavery.
In honor of #GivingTuesday — the global day to 'give back' — we are inviting our community to carry on the legacy of abolition and partner with the mission of Araminta. Help awaken individuals to the reality of human trafficking in Maryland and help prevent it in the first place.
Your financial support increases prevention education programming and restorative survivor services. What does this look like?
